Been going to primark quite a bit recently as its all I can afford on a student loan. Pastels seem perfect for spring so I bought myself a lovely mint green dress and rucksack from primark. I match!
Month: May 2016
Outfit of the day 17
Its sunny! I popped into primark the other day and treated myself to some culottes. I can’t stop raving about them, they are so comfy! I feel tomboyish and ladylike at the same time. I paired them with a navy primark top and a red lipstick to match.
The Beauty blogger award

I was pleasantly surprised to be nominated for the beauty blogger award by the gorgeous heilfashion which was a very lovely surprise as I have only been blogging just over a month. I haven’t done many posts on makeup but I hope the ones I have done have been helpful and as I get more into blogging I hope to do more reviews.
Here are the rules:
~ Name the blogger who nominated you.
~ Answer the questions given to you.
~ Nominate your own bloggers.
~ Write 10 questions for your nominees.
~ Make sure they know about their nomination.
Here are my questions and answer
1. Do you have a favorite artist?
I’m going to take this question literally and say my favourite artist is either Tracy Emin or Grayson Perry. Grayson Perry is a potter who makes satirical political and semi-autobiographical vases, he is very witty, a stylish cross dresser and very nice in Person. I was lucky enough to go to one of his talks at the British museum a couple of years ago which was very inspiring. I specifically like Tracey Emin’s textile blankets as I think she is very poetic and brave in her autobiographical subject matter.
2.What is your favorite shade of lipstick?
At the moment probably kiko’s pearly lavender ultra glossy stylo. I’m a big fan of unusual and pastel shades and this one is both sheer, shiny and pastel.
3.If you could change one thing about your looks what would it be? And why?
As I’ve grown older I’ve grown into my skin more and feel a lot more comfortable with who I am so apart from losing weight I wouldn’t change a thing. When I was younger however I used to hate my nose and wish for a nose job (it sounds horrible to me now!) as its quite big. Now I think it makes my face have more character.
4.What thing do you like about yourself the most?
Character wise I think my ability to make the most of change. When I was younger I used to hate change but now it seems an opportunity for personal growth.
5.If you would end up at a deserted island, what 3 things would you take with you to survive?
A pen knife, a sleeping bag and a lighter.
6. What is your favourite movie?
Either walkabout (a very depressing tale of two children who get stranded in the desert with an Aborigine boy in the Australian outback) or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind.
7.What is the one thing you like about makeup?
The ability to transform yourself.
8.What is the one piece of clothing, that you like the most?
Probably my and other stories sandals, they look good with anything!
9.Why did you become a blogger?
Truthfully I had been suffering from depression and put on quite a bit of weight so I wanted to start a blog as a way to share my creativity, distract myself and force me to make the most of my appearance.
10.What is the one new trend that you like?
Not really a new trend but I love pastels for spring!
My questions for my nominees are
- What was your biggest fahion faux pas?
- How would you describe your everyday beauty regime?
- What’s your favourite book?
- What’s your favourite lipstick shade?
- What’s your wildest beauty look?
- How has blogging changed you?
- Who’s your favourite musician?
- What makeup item couldn’t you live without?
- What’s your most recent purchase?
- What’s your favourite beauty brand?
